The Parsonage Bed and Breakfast is a place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Relax in comfortable and peaceful surroundings providing a truly personal Bed and Breakfast experience.

Whether it's enjoying the fragrant lilac blooms in the spring, sipping a cool beverage in the backyard gazebo after a day of visiting the art galleries and antique stores, being dazzled by the brilliant hues of the fall foliage while walking, hiking or mountain biking, or warming up with some hot chocolate after a day of skiing or tubing at one of the near-by ski resort, we are sure you will find your stay with to be a warm and friendly one no matter what the season.

After a quiet night's rest, enjoy a full breakfast including baked goods hot from the oven, a hot entrée, fresh fruit and juices served in the dining room.

The Living Room, with a combination of contemporary and antique furnishings, is a comfortable room for chatting with other guests, or sitting back with a good book. The Tiffany bay-windowed Dining Room is the perfect setting to enjoy the full breakfast or grab a fresh homemade snack from Maureen's kitchen.

Constructed in 1844, The Parsonage is the oldest, unaltered structure in the scenic, historic town of Jim Thorpe (formerly Mauch Chunk), Pennsylvania. Built by the Reverend Richard Webster, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Mauch Chunk from 1837 until his death in 1856, this four-story brick structure was inhabited by Reverend Webster, his wife Elizabeth and their seven children, until their deaths.

Transformed into a bed and breakfast home in 1999, guests have their choice of four tastefully furnished bedrooms. There are several charming outside sitting areas, a yard with mature trees, and a screened gazebo perched in a lush garden setting. We have complimentary soft drinks in the upstairs sitting room and home made snacks just waiting for sampling in the dining room.

Maureen Grant is both your hostess and breakfast chef. She spent approximately 30 years in the corporate world before choosing this "alternative" occupation. Maureen owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Virginia for three years prior to purchasing The Parsonage in December, 2004.
